Weekend Away 

26th-28th September 2025 

You are invited to the St Simon Zelotes Church Weekend Away!

This is an opportunity for our church family to come together in fellowship and grow in faith.

The programme will include:

• Talks, study groups and prayer
• Free time and a range of recreational activities
• A Sunday school and crèche, organised by our team of helpers, allowing parents to attend the adult sessions

All members of St Simon’s are warmly welcome, regardless of age, stage, Bible knowledge or how long you’ve been attending.

Location

The De Vere Horsley Estate sits in 70 acres of Surrey countryside with a Victorian gothic mansion, landscaped gardens and lake.

Facilities include an indoor pool, gym and walking trails. Bedroom options include single, double, or family rooms, all en-suite.

Travel

• Direct trains run from London Waterloo to Horsley Station. From the station, the venue is a 25 minute walk or a short taxi.
• By car, the venue is 10 minutes from J10 of the M25. From London, the journey takes 1-2hrs, depending on traffic.

 

Speaker

Revd Dr Tim Ward teaches trainee vicars at Oak Hill College in North London and is an active member of a local church. He's been involved full-time in training others for ministry for the last twelve years. Before that he served as a vicar and in other pastoral roles in churches in Sussex and Leicestershire. Tim is married to Erica, who hopes to join us for the weekend.



Cost & What’s Included

The weekend runs from Friday evening to Sunday lunchtime and includes two nights of accommodation, all meals, and activities.

Full Weekend Rates:

• Adult per person (double or single room): £200
• Children (5–11 years): £115.50
• Children under 5: Free

If you can only come for a day or one night, different rates are available.

We would like everyone who would like to join to be able to. If cost is a concern, please don’t let that stop you - bursaries are available to help.

If you’d like to support someone else in joining, we’d be very grateful for your help through a subsidy.
